Wide use of Credit Cards

Credit Cards are one of the most accepted modes of payment, used all over the world. The name credit card came from the usage of small cards made of plastic issued to individuals, those who are entitled by the creditor as the potential user of this system of payment. Usually these cards are issued by banks or credit card unions. The shape and size of the credit cards follows a universal standard, i.e. ISO 7810.

The credit card providers allow the credit card holder to purchase and make payments on credit, using the card. Later bills containing the original amount along with the interest charges are sent to the credit card holders. The main advantage of the credit card is that it allows owners to make payment without using cash.
